Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this position will work with legal and administrative team members of Osler Works – Transactional to support the compliance practice and our legal entity management platform.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • Work closely with and provide support to the Compliance Clerks on client and administrative matters
  • Assist with onboarding new clients to the legal entity management platform, including extracting relevant information from the company minute book and inputting on to the platform
  • Work closely with stakeholders within OWT to create a streamlined process to verify entity data and coordinate amongst members of OWT
  • Verification of client data in the legal entity management platform
  • Responsible for general legal entity management platform maintenance for clients, including responding to general questions and providing assistance with updates
  • Work with the vendor of the legal entity management software to become a super user
  • Responsible for generation of compliance reports
  • Responsible for vendor invoices on behalf of Compliance Clerks
  • Support client related tasks on an ad hoc basis
  • Handles confidential material
  • Undertake projects and other responsibilities as assigned

 

Position Requirements

Education and Experience

The position requires a university degree in a business or technology discipline or a college Law Clerk diploma and a minimum of one year of relevant work experience is desired.  Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be acceptable.
