Loblaw’s Quebec legal team oversees a broad range of work including real estate, leasing and franchise matters for Provigo / Maxi and Pharmaprix.  This group is now seeking a Law Clerk with Franchising experience to join its legal team. You will draft a broad range of franchise documents including franchise agreements, renewals, defaults, transfers and terminations.  Alternatively, someone with a commercial real estate background with an interest in being trained up in franchise law will be considered.  This individual will report directly to the Senior Director, and be located in its office in Montreal. 

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of franchise experience gained with a major firm and/or corporation.  We will also consider someone with commercial real estate experience with an interest in franchise law.  You will need to be a strong negotiator, drafter and communicator, able to take initiative and be a team player.  The being detail oriented and having the ability to juggle competing obligations in a fast-paced environment will be required to succeed in this role.
