Corporate and Real Estate Law Clerk

We are looking for an amazing Corporate and Real Estate Law Clerk who will support our associate lawyers in the Corporate and Real Estate teams.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Draft corporate legal documents (i.e. incorporations, amalgamations, arrangements, acquisitions, reorganizations, amendments etc.);
- Process commercial and residential real estate transactions including purchase, sales and financing transactions from beginning to end;
- Involved in all aspects of builder projects, related sales and disclosure documentation;
- Main point of contact for clients, other law offices, financial institutions, municipalities, and land registry offices;
- Provide proof of your attention to detail by quoting the first bullet point in this section on your email application;
- Conduct and review title searches and off-title searches, understand and interpret title searches and draft requisitions;
- Prepares all closing documents for signing meetings and lenders;
- Involved in the registration of condominiums, closings and related by-laws;
- Prepares draft reporting letters and accounts to clients;
- Prepares various documents in Teraview including transfers, charges, easements, notices, condominium by-laws, discharges etc.;
- Organizes and maintains physical and electronic files;
- Provides support and training to Junior Clerks and Legal Assistants in the organization;
- Conduct due diligence reviews and rectify any deficiencies;
- Create, maintain and update minute books and files;
- Coordinate multi-jurisdictional transactions with lawyers and clerks in other offices; and
- Perform general and annual corporate maintenance.
You Must Have:
- 3+ years’ experience in corporate and real estate law;
- Law Clerk diploma or certificate from an accredited institute;
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and time management skills;
- Great sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail and proofreading skills and;
- Strong proficiency with MS Office, Teraview, Unity, and PCLaw;
It would be amazing if you had (but don’t worry if you don’t)
- Experience working with a Mac
- Experience with a task management system like Asana or ClickUp

- Base Compensation Range - $60,000 - $70,000.00 for full-time hours
- 2 weeks’ vacation (to start) + office closure from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Day.

- In office (2155 Dunwin Drive, Mississauga) Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
