Role Overview:
Our Toronto office is currently seeking an administrative assistant to work with the Corporate Services team, reporting to the Manger, Corporate Services, Toronto. The ideal candidate will be an organized and eager professional who possesses great customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Management of general and time-sensitive correspondence
- Document review, scanning and filing in document management system and electronic minute books
- Maintenance and transfer of electronic minute books, original instruments, and corporate seals
- Entry of incoming corporate records into corporate records database
- Payment of agent accounts and submission of expenses
- Providing general assistance, as required
The successful candidate must have the following education, experience and/or demonstrated skills:
- Legal administrative / Paralegal / Law Clerk education or minimum 2 years of legal experience in a law firm
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Experience with corporate records database an asset
- Excellent time management skills and prioritization skills
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented atmosphere
- Proactive, creative and able to explore ways to improve efficiencies and meet the needs of clients, maintaining professionalism
